ROYAL AIR MAROC FLIGHTS FROM SABİHA GÖKÇEN TO CASABLANCA COMMENCE
Royal Air Maroc, the national flag carrier of Morocco, launched flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Casablanca. 737-800 Boeing aircraft will be used for the daily return flights between the two airports.
Royal Air Maroc became the third airline after Pegasus and Air Arabia to offer scheduled flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Casablanca, Morocco. Royal Air Maroc is expected to be an official Oneworld alliance member by year end, making it the second Oneworld alliance member to operate into Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.
On the occasion of the inaugural Royal Air Maroc flight, a welcoming ceremony was held at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Royal Air Maroc aircraft was given the traditional water salute on the apron and after docking the boarding bridge, the cabin crew of the first flight were welcomed with flowers. Necip Çakmak Istanbul Vice Governor, Hasan Naiboğlu, HEAS General Manager, Nilgün Selvi, Sabiha Gökçen Airport Police Chief, Dato Azmi Bin Murad, Board Member, Gerald Ong, Director, Aviation Marketing and, Göksu Güney, Operation Director at ISG, Ifriquine Mohammed, Moroccan Consul General to Istanbul, Abdelhamid Khalil, VP Europe and Patras Hachem, Regional Director, Turkey & Greece, Royal Air Maroc, alongside senior executives of ISG and passengers attended the traditional cake cutting ceremony, which was followed by an exchange of gifts. Before the cocktail reception, the passengers were also served Turkish Delight.

JAZEERA AIRWAYS STARTED FLYING TO KUWAIT FROM SABIHA GÖKÇEN AIRPORT
Jazeera Airways, the leading Kuwaiti airline, has added Sabiha Gökçen Airport to its destinations. The airline’s A320 aircraft will fly to Kuwait on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays as the three weekly flights will continue until October 26 with this schedule.
Jazeera Airways became the fourth airline to fly to Kuwait from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport along with Pegasus Airways, Turkish Airlines and Kuwait Airways. With the addition of Jazeera Airways, the number of weekly flights from Sabiha Gökçen to Kuwait will rise to 34.
On the occasion of the inaugural Jazeera Airways flight, a welcoming ceremony was held at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport. ISG executives welcomed the Jazeera Airways executives and the cabin crew of the first flight with flowers. Jazeera Airways was given a water salute to mark its first visit to Sabiha Gökçen and the passengers exiting the plane were invited to a cocktail reception where a traditional cake was cut. At the reception attended by Dato Azmi Bin Murad, Board Member and Gerald Ong, Director, Aviation Marketing at ISG, Bernard Matta, AVP Sales / Regional Airports Manager - Levant & Europe at Jazeera Airways, Fehime Kaya, CEO, Maple Aviation and Jazeera Airways senior officials alongside passengers, exclusively prepared Turkish Delight were offered to the guests. During the reception, Dato Azmi Bin Murad presented a gift to Bernard Matta to commemorate the first flight.
